British and American “intelligence” sources have warned that there is a high risk of a terror attack in Europe.
British authorities followed America (as usual) in issuing an official warning that Al-Qaeda is planning to launch an attack somewhere in Europe. The Foreign Office claimed there is an “high threat” in Germany and France and has advised residents and tourists to be vigilant. Previously, the level of threat was only deemed to be “general”.
The US State Department warned of the “potential for terrorists to attack public transportation systems and other tourist infrastructure”.
No European countries, however, have raised their terror alert level. No arrests have been made, but Muslims suspects are currently being monitored by authorities.
