Just days after the release of the iPad, China has been given another excuse to behave like crazed cult apostles with Apple’s announcement that the iPhone 4 will be released in the People’s Republic on September 25th.
Although sales of the iPad have been promising, Chinese worshipers have yet to eclipse the hysterical mania seen across the United States and Europe upon the release of a fruity gadget. In Shanghai stores last Friday, they were even seen forming orderly lines outside the store and most left without crying or speaking in tongues.
But how long will this last? Will the Chinese recognize Steve Jobs as their Lord and Savior? Will they drink the apple-flavored Kool-Aid? Will the 100km traffic jam ever end?
Only time will tell.
